Juan José Cobo Acebo (* February 11, 1981 in Santander ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Since 2004 he has been a professional and drove to 2008 all his race for the UCI ProTour team Saunier Duval- Prodir. Then he went one season for Scott - American Beef (2008), Fuji - Servetto (2009), Caisse d' Epargne (2010), Geox -TMC (2011) and Movistar.

Cobo finished the first stage of the Tour of Germany 2005 48 seconds behind the stage winner Bram Tankink in second. In the next stage he wore for traveling in the leaders jersey Tankink, representing the leader's jersey in the mountains classification.

In 2009 he won a stage of the Vuelta a España. After the success in 2010 failed to materialize, Cobo wanted to finish in mid-2011 to his sports career. After he was persuaded, at least finish the season ended, he came to be appointed for a wild card team Geox -TMC for the Vuelta a España 2011. On the 15th stage, a serious mountain stage on the legendary Alto de Angliru, could not follow any of the favorites of the excellent climber Cobo. Cobo won the stage and the leader's jersey was a lead of 13 seconds by the end of the tour defend and celebrated the greatest success of his career.
