Juan Manuel Peña

Juan Manuel Peña Montano ( born January 17, 1973 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra ) is a Bolivian footballer who plays in the position of a defender.

Peña moved into the 1993 season to Independiente Santa Fe. After three seasons in Colombia, he moved to the 1995/96 season to Real Valladolid in La Liga. Here he played in the Episode 9 seasons before Valladolid at the end of the 2003/04 season took a relegation place. Peña Then moved to Villarreal CF, where he long is a regular formation. After his contract expired, the Bolivians moved in summer 2007 free transfer to the Spanish second division Celta Vigo.

After playing two years in Spain, he task mid-November 2009 announced his retirement, not wanting to further continued his career as a football player with the desire. He did so after careful consideration.

On 25 March 2010 he signed a contract with DC United.

For the Bolivian national football team, he has been active since 1991. Most recently, he was employed at the Copa América 2007. His only Nationalmannschaftstor Peña scored in 1993 against Paraguay.
