Jüdischer Friedhof Deutz

The Jewish Cemetery on Judenkirchhofsweg in Cologne-Deutz was founded in 1695. He is the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in what is now the city of Cologne. The last burial took place during the Second World War in 1941.

History

1695 received the Deutz Jews by the Archbishop Clemens land for lease, were made on the first burials from 1698. Today's fenced and 18,000 m² large cemetery complex is under horticultural care in a deliberately natural state. Apart from a prepared container, there is no building facilities.
