Juha Leiviskä

Juha Ilmari Leiviskä ( born March 17, 1936 in Helsinki) is a Finnish architect.

Life

Juha Ilmari Leiviskä graduated in 1963 graduated from the Technical University of Helsinki. In 1967 he established his own architectural office. In the same year Leiviskä received the Väinö Vähäkallio scholarship and 1973, the state scholarship for artists. In 1978 he began the serviced office space with Vilhelm Helander.

In 1982 Juha Ilmari Leiviskä was awarded the State Prize for Architecture and Urban Planning. Since 1991 he is a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm ( Kungliga Konsthögskolan Stockholm ). In 1995 he received the Carlsberg Prize from the Carlsberg Foundation. In 2007 he was awarded the Antonio Feltrinelli Prize -.

  • Villa Thoren - Söderström Tammisaari (built 1987-1990)
  • Cultural Center - Dar al - Kalima College, Bethlehem, West Bank, Palestine (built 2004)
