Juha Ylönen

Juha Petteri Ylönen ( born February 13, 1972 in Helsinki ) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League, among others, for the Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators in his playing career from 1989 to 2004.

Career

Juha Ylönen began his career as a hockey player with the Espoo Blues, for which he was active in the I divisioona 1989-1991. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 in the fifth round as a total 91 players from the Winnipeg Jets. First, however, he spent two years playing for HPK Hämeenlinna, with which he was runner-up in 1993, as well as for Jokerit Helsinki, for which he ran aground 1993-1996 and with which he was first Finnish Champion in the 1993/94 season. He was able to repeat with his team in the 1995/ 96 This success. In addition, the attacker in 1995 and 1996 won the European Cup with Jokerit and 1995 runner-up.

From 1996 to 2001 Ylönen was for the Phoenix Coyotes on the ice, which had previously received the rights to the player from the relocated Winnipeg Jets.
