The JUJO Station (Japanese十条 駅, JuJo eki ) is located in Kita- ku in Tokyo Prefecture, Japan.

History

( "Japan Railways "日本 鉄 道, literally) started on 10 June 1905 provisionally on the site of the later passenger station of the operation as a goods station by the Nippon tetsudō. However, this operation lasted only half a year and has already been abandoned February 7, 1906.

It was only in 1910 launched the Japan Railways ( kokutetsu ) at this location on November 1, a regular passenger service and opened today's passenger station JUJO. At this point, the annular Yamanote Line had not yet given its present form and the station was so struck by this line. This remained the case until July 15, 1972 so until the section between Ikebukuro and Akabane on which the station is located, was renamed in Akabane - line. On September 30, 1985, the name Akabane - line was abandoned, as they completely went up in the route of the inaugurated on this day Saikyo line and since then the station is serviced by that line.

On April 1, 1987, the station went into the possession of the products resulting from the privatization of the state railway JR Higashi- Nihon.

Design and tracks

The station was built in the most commonly encountered design as a through station. It has two platform tracks which are run in a north-south direction and operated by two Seitenbahnhsteigen from.

Environment

The area around the train station, several universities are among the Kasei University (东京 家政 大学, Tōkyō kasei daigaku ), the Itabasho campus of Teikyo University (帝 京 大学, Teikyo daigaku ) and their university clinic.

Use

In 2008, the station from an average of 33,446 passengers was used on the day, so the 122nd took over 900 on the ranking of the busiest train stations of JR Higashi- Nihon in 2008.
