Julián Bautista

Julián Bautista (* April 21, 1901 in Madrid, Spain, † July 8, 1961 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was an Argentine composer of Spanish descent.

Life

Bautista had his first piano lessons from Pilar Fernández de la Mora. From the age of fourteen, he studied composition at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música de Madrid y Declamación with Conrado del Campo. Nineteen year-old he made ​​his debut as a composer in 1922 and 1926 and received a national award for his first or second string. In addition, he conducted the Orquesta Nacional de España, the Philharmonic and the Symphony Orchestra of Madrid.
