Julian Llewelyn Bennett ( born December 17, 1984 in Nottingham ) is an English footballer who is since 2011 at Sheffield Wednesday under contract.

Sports career

Growing up in direct proximity to the City Ground, Julian Bennett has already played in the Youth for Nottingham Forest. At the age of 15, he moved in 1999 to FC Walsall to West Midlands.

After he had already come in the season 2003/ 04 for a short stint, he established himself in the next season as a regular player and scored two goals in 31 games. 2005/ 06 met Bennett in the Football League One on his former club Nottingham Forest, who were relegated in the previous season. However, it remained for the time being a short goodbye, because that year was very unpleasant for Walsall and brought to the last place a relegation.

However, Julian Bennett was not ready in the fourth division Football League Two play and therefore returned to Forest. After just missing out on promotion last year celebrated the end of the 2007/08 season with his team return to the Football League Championship. He was able to achieve the important 1-0 goal in a 3-2 home victory in the decisive final season game against Yeovil Town. Forest erected with 24 games without conceding a new league record. The fans of Nottingham also voted him the player of the year.

The Football League Championship 2008/ 09 was worse than expected due to injury problems for Bennett ( 12 games) and the game against Doncaster Rovers, the crowd moved to such a severe injury that put him in the subsequent season out of action. After he had remained in the season 2009/10 without use, it gave Forest on 6 August 2010 for six months at Crystal Palace. After the expiration of his contract Julian Bennett joined 5 July 2011 free transfer to Sheffield Wednesday in the Football League One.

On November 2, 2012 Bennett moved on loan to Shrewsbury Town.
