Julian Marley

Julian Ricardo Marley ( born June 4, 1975 in London ) is a British roots-reggae musician and lead singer of his band The Uprising band. He is a son of reggae musician Bob Marley; his mother, Lucy Pounder, where he grew up initially in England.

After recording his first song at the age of five years with his family, he published in 1989 his first album Uprising, which later became the name of his band. In 1992 he worked together after moving to Jamaica, among others, Aston Barrett, Earl " Wire" Lindo, Tyrone Downie and Earl " Chinna " Smith.

His album Awake was nominated for a Grammy 2010 in the category " Best Reggae Album".
