Julian McMahon

Julian Dana William McMahon ( born July 27, 1968 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian actor.

Life

McMahon is the second child of Sir William McMahon, former Prime Minister of Australia, and his wife Sonia McMahon. He was married briefly with Dannii Minogue, sister of Kylie Minogue, as well as with Brooke Burns, with whom he has a daughter, Madison Elizabeth McMahon. He first studied law in Sydney, before he began a successful modeling career.

His first television appearance celebrated McMahon in a commercial for jeans. After that he was seen in some leading roles in various films and moved in 1994 to Los Angeles. He became known in the United States, among other things for his roles in the series Profiler and Charmed - Magical Witches. He also starred in the television series Nip / Tuck - Beauty has its price as Dr. Christian Troy - a plastic surgeon - one of the main roles. The series won the 2005 Golden Globe Award for Best Series - Drama. McMahon received a nomination in the category of Best series protagonist - Drama.

In 2005, McMahon has also been considered a candidate to succeed Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Eventually, however, Daniel Craig got the role of James Bond, as McMahon ruled in favor of Nip / Tuck. In 2012, he embodies Doyle in the Australian animal horror film Bait 3D.
