Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough Alexandra ( born July 20, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is an American actress, singer and dancer.

Life

Julianne Hough was born as the youngest child of her parents in Salt Lake City in Utah. She has four older siblings and grew up in a Mormon family. Her parents divorced when Hough was about 10 years old. At that time, she was educated with her brother Derek in London in dance, singing and acting. From the subsequent marriage of the parents she has nine other step-siblings. Her cousin is the singer, actor and dancer Ross Lynch.

After her education in England, she moved with her mother to Las Vegas, where she attended the " Las Vegas Academy". However, after a year, she moved back to her father to Utah, where he attended the Alta High School. After her graduation she moved to Los Angeles, to pursue her career. She is friends with Nina Dobrev and romantically involved with Canadian hockey player Brooks Laich.

Career

In 2001, she received a small role in the Harry Potter film The Philosopher's Stone as a Hogwarts schoolgirl, the role was not mentioned in the credits. Upon her return to the United States she won the 2008 ABC dance show Dancing with the Stars, in which she appeared with her brother Derek. In the same year she was also active as a star of the country scene. Their debut album in 2008 landed at number 1 on the country charts. In 2009 she won the awards for " Best New Singer " and "Best New Artist " of the Academy of Country. Then she performed the opening act for Brad Paisley and as a partner of George Strait.

In 2010, she starred in the musical film Burlesque by Steve Antin next to Cher and Christina Aguilera as Georgia. In the Music Comedy Footloose one saw them as Ariel opposite Dennis Quaid and Andie MacDowell. In Rock of Ages by Adam Shankman she plays the dancer Sherrie Christian. Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin and Catherine Zeta -Jones are their prominent colleagues in this rock musical.

In the advertising industry is Julianne Hough's name for the products " Proactiv Solution " ( skin care), "Venus Embrace" (ladies shaver ) and " Wrigley's Juicy Fruit" ( chewing gum).
