Julie Ege

Julie Ege ( born November 12, 1943 as Julie Dzuli in Sandnes, † April 29, 2008 in Oslo) was a Norwegian film actress.

Biography

Julie Ege began her career as a participant in beauty contests and took part in the elections to the Miss Norway and Miss Universe. Later, she posed for the Penthouse. In 1967, she was an au pair in England to improve their language skills; she attended for a language school.

Her film debut was in the Norwegian low-budget production Stompa til Sjøs, but her career came first in England in full swing. It reached a role in the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty. There were other movies, among other things on the side of Marty Feldman, Jon Finch and Jack Palance. During the 1970s she lived for many years next to Tony Bramwell, a former roadie of the Beatles and Brian May, the guitarist of the rock band Queen. The mid-1970s, she ended her film career and moved back to Norway. There they joined the theater on, among other things, in a production of The Rocky Horror Show, before they completely gave up acting and trained as a nurse.

In an interview with a Norwegian magazine she declared in October 2002 that she was suffering from lung cancer, after it had been in 1986 successfully treated for breast cancer.

Ege was twice divorced and lived most recently in Oslo, where she worked as a nurse until her death. She leaves behind two daughters.
