Julie Maroh

Julie Maroh (* 1985) is a French comic writer, who with her graphic novel Blue a warm color in 2010 became internationally known.

From 18 she studied at the Brussels Institute Saint- Luc and the Académie royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles.

In 2010 they released their debut Le bleu est une couleur chaude about love the 15-year lesbian schoolgirl Clémentine to a student in Glénat - Publishing and received an audience award at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d' Angoulême 2011.

A film adaptation under the title Blue is a warm color (La Vie d' Adèle - Chapitre 1 & 2) by director Abdellatif Kechiche with Adèle Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux was honored at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, the Palme d'Or in the lead roles.
