Julio César Jiménez

Julio César Giménez, Julio César Jiménez out as, ( born August 24, 1954 in Artigas ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Playing career

Association

Midfielder Giménez belonged 1971-1978 Peñarols the squad in La Liga on. With the Aurinegros he won during this period in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1978, the Uruguayan championship, and in 1974 and 1975, the Trofeo Teresa Herrera. Also, the profit of the Liguilla Pre- Libertadores should be recorded for the club from Montevideo in this phase 1974, 1975, 1977 and 1978. In the years 1981 and 1982 he played for Ferro Carril Oeste. 1983/84 he was then in Spain with FC Barcelona Atlètic in Segunda División under contract, but denied only four games without scoring own. The season 1987/88 he spent in Argentina at Vélez Sarsfield. He then accepted an offer from Nelson Chabays and joined San Martín de Tucumán. With this team, he was promoted to the Primera. The following Erstligasaison he ran 25 times for the club on (no gate). 1992 and 1993 were the Club Jorge Wilstermann and Deportivo Municipal his employer.

National

Giménez was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, for he completed 21 matches between 27 October 1971 to 24 November 1976. He achieved an international goal. Giménez belonged to the squad of Uruguay in the World Cup 1974. He did not come in the course of the competition, however, are used.
