Julio Hernán Rossi

Julio Hernán Rossi ( born February 22, 1977 in Mar del Plata, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer with Italian citizenship who spent most of his professional career in Switzerland. His position is in the storm.

Career

1996/97 he played at River Plate Buenos Aires, scoring a goal in eight games. He then moved to Japan in 1997 for a year to Avispa Fukuoka, where he completed eleven games. After three games with River Plate 1998, he joined 1998/1999 for FC Lugano and played there until 2002.

In the summer of 2002, the FC Basel bought it for two million Swiss francs. With Basel, he recorded his biggest successes. He was Swiss Cup winners and twice Swiss champion. As only the second Swiss team ever, the FC Basel 2002 could qualify for the Champions League. Rossi scored in this competition 5 of a total of 17 goals for FC Basel. At the time he reached the second round with the team in which the FC Basel eliminated pursuant to an inferior goal difference.

In the winter of 2006, he joined the French first division side FC Nantes and achieved for the new club in 36 games 4 goals. As the end of the season the relegation of FC Nantes fact was, he decided after consultation with the club to return to Switzerland.

On June 11, 2007, he signed a three year contract in Neuchâtel in Neuchâtel Xamax. In April 2010, he was demoted to the U-21 squad of Neuchâtel. From July 2010 to July 2011 Rossi was without a club since the 2011/12 season he plays for FC Serrières in the top Swiss amateur league.
