Julio Voltio

Julio Voltio ( born June 11, 1977 in Santurce, Puerto Rico Julio Irving Ramos Filomeno ) is a rapper. He is one of the most striking and most commonly -heard voices of reggaetón.

Name

His name " Voltio " (and he also calls himself " El voltaje " ) comes from the fact that he was an electrician before his career as a musician. He was called by colleagues " bombillo " ( bulb) and " cortocircuito " (short circuit), and later gave him the name of someone " voltio " (Volt) and " voltaje " ( voltage ).

Career

As a teenager he was a member of the band "The Masters of Funk" - together with Héctor Delgado Román, who later became the duo Héctor y Tito, as well as solo and Héctor " El Bambino ", Hector " El Father " and Héctor " El Padre " great success achieved.

In 1997 he continued his career as a duo " Karol & Voltio ".

He now works solo. Julio Voltio was heard in 2004 in the song Bumper with Pitbull 2005 Song I Am at Ricky Martin's album Life, also in 2005, along with Tego Calderon, Fat Joe and Maestro in song Julito maraña, and Residente Calle 13 in 2006 with the song Chulin Culin chunfly.
