June Brigman

June Brigman ( born October 26, 1960 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American comic book artist and illustrator.

Life and work

A native of the southern states Brigman began working as a full-time cartoonist in the 1980s. Since then, she has, among others, through their work in the innovative series Power Pack, which she created in collaboration with the writer Louise Simonson 1984, and by her work as a draftsman for Mini Series of the major U.S. publishers DC Comics - for for example, 1994 a mini-series to the super heroine Supergirl illustrated - and Marvel Comics and as a signatory of newspaper comic strip Brenda Starr, she cared for since 1996, excelled. In addition, Brigman was one of the first women who managed to assert themselves in the " male domain " of the U.S. comic book industry as an artist, and as a lecturer at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in Dover (New Jersey ), where they teaches since 2005, received attention.
