Junicode

Junicode ( " Junius - Unicode" ) is a Unicode font that is developed by Peter S. Baker, University of Virginia. The current version contains 3280 characters. The released under the SIL Open Font License open source script is in addition to the regular section in an italic, bold, and bold italic version available, but less characters than can the regular style. The Latin letters resemble the classic typeface Clarendon Press of the 17th century.

Junicode largely follows the recommendations of the Medieval Unicode Font Initiative ( Version 3.0): The font contains many glyph that in medieval texts ( Old or Middle High German, Old or Middle English, Medieval Latin, etc.) found use, and is therefore particularly suitable for medieval studies texts.
