Juraj Filas

Juraj Filas ( born March 5, 1955 in Košice, Slovakia) is a Slovak composer.

Juraj Filas is one of the most renowned composers of contemporary music. His work includes more than 100 compositions: symphonies, cantatas, concertos, written for chamber music and also excellent with a price TV opera " momento mori ", a Concerto Grosso " Copernicus ", the opera " Jane Eyre ", which was completed in 2010, and "The Wisdom of the Wise Man," a cantata for choir, cello and organ, the "Concerto for Piccolo Trumpet and Orchestra " written for the trumpet Otto Sauter, " the Song of Solomon ", a cantata for soloists, chorus and orchestra, and the requiem " Oratio memory ", which is dedicated to the victims of terrorism.
