Jürgen Fassbender

Willi Ernst Jürgen Fassbender ( born May 28, 1948 in Wesseling ) is a retired German tennis player. He denied 1968-1979 23 Davis Cup inserts for Germany and 44 ATP finals in singles and doubles and was a three -time German single - master.

Together with Hans -Jürgen Pohmann and Karl Meiler Jürgen Fassbender was active in the 1970s in the doubles. With Pohmann he reached the semifinals of the 1973 French Open and the semifinals at Wimbledon in 1975. In his career he was able to win 16 doubles titles ( including five with Pohmann and eight with kiln ) and a single title (ATP Munich 1974). In the same year he received the Wimbledon fairness price.

Jürgen Fassbender moderated in the 1990s Tennis transfers for Sat.1 and DSF. Together with his wife operates the father of three since 2005, a sports park in Eggenstein- Leopoldshafen.
