Jürgen Schütz

Jürgen " Charlie" contactor ( born July 1, 1939 in Dortmund, † 19 March 1995) was a German football player.

After his time as a youth player at Urania Luetgendortmund came "Charlie" contactor before the start of season 1959/60 in the Oberliga West to Borussia Dortmund. As technically very strong and prolific center forward, he was already in his first season with 31 goals scorer in the league, also 1961 (27 goals) and 1963 ( 25 goals ) he was unerringly most contactors Oberliga West. In 114 league matches get him 100 hits, he also scored in the final twelve games eleven goals - a dream rate in a truly non- weak division. His strike partner at this time was Friedhelm Konietzka, with whom he got along brilliantly. "Charlie" contactor and " Timo " Konietzka were referred to as " Max and Moritz".

Between 1960 and 1963 graduated contactor six matches under coach Sepp Herberger. In the national team he was also used as inside-right forward, alongside Uwe Seeler, but he could displace just as many other center-forward in the 1960s by his regular place in the German national team.

After winning the German championship in 1963 contactor switched from Dortmund in the Italian Serie A; next to the Roma, who could sign him for 450,000 DM and temporarily loaned to the ACR Messina, were the Torino and Brescia Calcio its stations south of the Alps. For the season 1968/69 Schütz returned to Germany and first played for TSV 1860 München and from 1969 again for Borussia Dortmund, now as an attacking midfielder. After the descent of the BVB 1972 Schütz joined the Regionalliga West to Rot-Weiss Lüdenscheid, where he also finished his career.

After his playing career contactor worked as a visiting host. He died of throat cancer.
