Justin Cronin

Justin Cronin (born 1962 ) is an American writer.

Life

Justin Cronin grew up in New England, where he graduated from the Harvard University and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. From 1992 to 2005 he taught creative writing and was the " Author in Residence " at La Salle University in Philadelphia. He currently lives with his wife and children in Houston where he also works as a high school teacher of English at Rice University. His writing style has influences from Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy.

Films

The New York Times reports that 20th Century Fox "The transition ", which is the first part of a trilogy, has purchased for about 1.75 million U.S. dollars, the film rights to his book. Expected Ridley Scott will direct the film. In addition to 20th Century Fox and three other film studios wanted the film rights for his book; Universal, Warner Brothers and Sony offered prices by 1.25 million U.S. dollars.
