Justin Mentell

Justin Michael Mentell ( born December 16, 1982 in Austin, Texas, † February 1, 2010 near Blanchardville in Madison, Wisconsin ) was an American actor.

Biography

Experimentally was born on 16 December 1982 in Austin, Texas, where he participated in several theater productions in childhood. After moving his family to Waukegan in the U.S. state of Illinois, he joined the ensemble of the Children's Theatre Company at Northbrook. In addition, he devoted himself to the speed skating, reached at the Junior Olympics a third place and was appointed to the long-range junior squad of the U.S. national team.

During his time on the Waukegan High School Mentell spent a year as an exchange student in Germany and was then transported by Rotary International. In 2001, he took a drama course at Northern Illinois University ( NIU ), which he completed in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Through the mediation of NIU 's School of Theatre and Dance Mentell completed a summer course at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre.

In 2005 he won a Golden Reel Award for Best Actor for his performance in the short film At the Still Point. In July 2009 Mentell gave up his acting career to devote himself to fine art.

Last Mentell lived in Los Angeles. He died on 1 February 2010 near Blanchardville in Iowa County, Wisconsin, in a traffic accident.
