History

JYP Entertainment was founded in 1997 by Park Jin -young.

The record label headquartered in Seoul. In addition to seats exist in Beijing, Tokyo and New York City. With a brand value of 115.8 million U.S. dollars JYP Entertainment has become one of the most valuable record label in South Korea.

Subsidiaries

Big Hit Entertainment

Big Hit Entertainment ( 빅 히트 엔터테인먼트 ) is currently the only sub label of JYP. It was founded in 2005 by Bang Si - hyuk ( "Hitman Bang " ) and run by him until today.

AQ Entertainment

The sub-label AQ Entertainment was disbanded on 9 December 2013. The artist managed miss A and Baek A- yeon have since been managed directly by JYP Entertainment.

J. Tune Entertainment

J. Tune Entertainment was founded in November 2007 by Rain and was a sub label of JYP Entertainment. The offshoot of J. Tune Camp managete MBLAQ. In November 2013 J. Tune was fully integrated into JYP. Rain left the label and signed with Cube DC.
