Kaffrine Region
The Kaffrine Region is a region in central Senegal. It is bordered to the west by the Kaolack region, in the north- west on the Fatick region in the north to the regions Diourbel and Louga in the northeast to the region Matam, Tambacounda in the east to the region and to the south by Gambia. It was created in 2008 by separation from the Kaolack region and consists of four departments:
- Birkilane
- Kaffrine
- Koungheul
- Malem - Hodar
