Biography

Vocalist Isshi, Akiya and Shin, the guitarist, bassist and drummer Nao Izumi started their band project in 1998 originally under the name Crow. With her ​​move to PS Company in 2000 they changed their name to Kagrra. A sold-out concert at Takadanobaba AREA marked the beginning of her career.

On June 21, 2001, their first demo tape Kotodama appeared, half a year later, the first mini- album Nue. The first one-man concert was also sold out Shibuya On Air West on March 3, 2001. It was followed by other concerts as well as publications on a monthly basis. At TRIBAL ARVIALL WARNING! Concert the band was together with Due'le quartz and Ash on stage. Kagrras first tour took place in the autumn of the same year.

After further releases and concerts, the first album was released, entitled Gozen on 11 December 2002, on which in turn was followed by new singles.

In December 2003 Kagrras last concert as indie band took place, as they had decided to go Major on 1 January 2004. With the change of the label again a name change was connected and Kagrra were to Kagrra, (comma ). On this occasion, her first major single Urei and in March released the album Miyako. In April, a DVD followed by the recording of their last concert as an indie band.

The year 2005 ended with the Peace & Smile Carnival Tour, in which she. With other bands and artists of their label as The Gazette, Miyavi, Kra and alice nine occurred.

In 2006, she could make her song Chikai no Tsuki for the opening song for the anime series Kinnikuman II Yo Ultimate Muscle 2. Since then Kagrras popularity grew steadily, which is reflected in other publications as well as its international debut, which they gave in Los Angeles as part of the organized by Yoshiki JRock Revolution festival in May 2007. On December 29, 2007, she appeared together with four other bands in Cologne and have now announced their first European tour in August 2008.

2010 celebrated the band round her 10th birthday with a performance at Shibuya O -West, where two other single will be announced. From the band whose presence as a whole was not intended for performance at PS Company TRIBAL ARIVALL Vol 100, taking bassist Nao in the session band THE TOKYO HIGH BLACK part.

In November 2010, the band announced their separation. The band not called their resolution as " separation", but as " death ". This decision was made according to Kagrra after long discussions. PS COMPANY promises to keep the fans on the other activities of the band members up to date. Kagrra be, to say goodbye yet with an album and a tour next year by their fans. Hyakkikenran will come on February 2 in two versions on the market, followed by Japan tour starts on February 13 and ends with the last appearance of the band on March 3 in the CC Lemon Hall in Tokyo.

After the separation, founded Shin and Nao, the duo Player. Vocalist Isshi was found dead in his apartment on July 18, 2011.
