Kahula is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Jõhvi ( Jõhvi vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The village has 134 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2012). It was first mentioned in documents in 1241 in Liber Census Daniæ.

1788 the school of the village was founded. 1877 the school house was inaugurated. Until then, the lessons took place on a farm.
