Kai Oswald

Kai Oswald ( born November 29, 1977 in Geislingen ) is a former German football player. He is now coach of the U14 at VfB Stuttgart.

Since the winter break of the season 2005/ 06 he was active in the SpVgg Unterhaching. He previously played for Karlsruher SC ( 2004/05 season and first round 2005/ 06), for MSV Duisburg (2003/ 04), Hannover 96 (2002/ 03), Hansa Rostock ( 1999-2002), VfB Stuttgart (1993 - 1999), the SC Geislingen (until 1993 ) and the TG Boehmenkirch. In his career, the defender played 73 top-flight appearances and scoring three goals. During the winter break of the season 2006/ 07 Oswald moved to league rivals FC Carl Zeiss Jena. There he was a very unhappy debut. Against Kickers Offenbach he headed an own goal, and thus brought the Jena on the losing side. A few minutes later, he suffered a cruciate ligament injury so severe that he could incur no additional games. After the end of the season 2007/2008 it is not a new contract offer was submitted and thus he ended his career.
