Z for Zorro (Japanese怪傑 ゾロ, Kaiketsu Zorro, dt as: " the extraordinary Zorro ") is an anime television series in 1995 In Germany the series, which is free from the known fictional character Zorro was the first time since 1995. on RTL2 and from March 2000 to tm3. Unusually, this anime series has aired more than a year earlier than in Japan in Germany.

Published in 1995 by " Z for Zorro " Anime on German 5 VHS tapes, each with 1-3 episodes ( a total of 13 of the 52 episodes) of Starlight Video, which were reissued in 2000 by Cine Plus.

2008, the German Sales NEW KSM acquired the licenses of several anime series, including Z for Zorro and published the series in late 2008 and early 2009, completely in two DVD boxes, but only with the German TV synchronization.

Action

The early 19th century: After years of studying the 18 -year-old nobleman Don Diego de la Vega returns from Spain to his native California. There, the blond young man discovers that the Spanish army, holds under the leadership of a tyrannical governor and general who suppressed the people and under their yoke. Tax increases, arbitrariness and cruelty of the soldiers, and Executions are on the agenda. Diego, with a strong sense of justice, will not stand idly by. Main characters

  • Zorro: The defender and avenger the population whose true identity is largely unknown. He wears black clothing (mask, hat, cape ), and is a master horseman and fencer.

  • Sergenant Gonzales: A naive and faithful bummer officer of the Spanish army and not a very gifted soldier. He is Gabriel. Although basically a good person, it executes the commands given to him.
  • Captain Jekyll: Another high Spanish officer. Although he has a high sense of justice, he insists on compliance with the law because he believes Spain could ensure peace and prosperity in the population.
