Kalgoorlie

Kalgoorlie - Boulder is really two towns in the Australian Western Australia, which together have about 30,800 inhabitants. The village is located about 595 kilometers east of Perth in the region of Goldfields - Esperance. The name comes from the Kalgoorlie Aboriginal language, more specifically from the word Karlkurla (pronounced gall gall - la), which roughly means "place of the brilliant oranges". History

Because of the great Australian gold rush and because Patrick Hannan found gold in 1893 at this point, Kalgoorlie 1895 was crushed as a gold mining town from the ground. Its importance as a gold mining town in 1896 further increased with the construction of the railway line to Perth.
