Kalkidan Gezahegne

Kalkidan Gezahegne (born 8 May 1991, Addis Ababa ) is an Ethiopian middle distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 -meter run.

Internationally, it first appeared in publication when she won the silver medal in Bydgoszcz over 1500 meters at the Junior World Championships in 2008. In 2009, she began to establish itself in the adult area. At the World Championships in Berlin she finished ninth in the 1500 meter race at the IAAF World Athletics Final in Thessaloniki in fifth in the 3000 -meter run.

She celebrated her greatest success with the title win in the 1500 meter race at the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010. They thus became the youngest world champion in the history hall.
