Kållandsö

Kållandsö [ kɔlandsø ] is the second largest after Torsö island in Swedish lake Vänern. The island has an area of 56.78 km ² and is the northernmost part of the municipality of Lidköping Lidköping dar. From Kållandsö is about 20 kilometers away. On Kållandsö and the surrounding archipelago live about 1100 inhabitants.
Because of its location and its major attractions, such as the Baroque castle Läckö, the island is a popular tourist destination. In addition, two boats of the Swedish sea rescue society SSRS are stationed in the fishing spiking. Even the former estate Traneberg of the noble family de la Gardie is on Kållandsö.
