Kamil Bednář

Kamil Bednar ( born July 4, 1912 in Prague, † May 23 1972 in Melnik; pseudonym Prokop Kouba ) was a Czech poet and translator, prose writer, dramatist and publishing house editor.

Life

After graduation in 1931, he first state examination at the Law Faculty of Charles University, he studied six more years at the Faculty of Philosophy, After finishing his studies in 1939 and the closure of all schools, he worked at the publisher Melantrich, 1949 in Publishing Československý spisovatel ( Czechoslovakian writer ). Since 1959, he devoted all his time to literature.

He was the founder of the group ( wild mustard ) and Pevný bod (fixed point) and author of poems, prose, essays, fairy tales and numerous translations from different languages.
