Kamus Dewan

The Kamus Dewan ( Mal. for Dictionary of the Institute ) is a dictionary of the Malay language, [note 1], the Dewan Bahasa dan is published by Pustaka. It is the best-selling dictionary Malaysia.

The dictionary is also suitable for the study of Malay literature, since it includes extensive synonym suggestions and abbreviations.

It is approved in Singapore even with language examination in Malay language, which will be held in the examination for the General Certificate of Education level ' N', ' O' and 'A'.

Expenditure

The state 2005, the dictionary was in its fourth edition. The first edition was launched in 1970 on the market, the second edition in 1984, the third edition in 1994 and in 1998 the fourth edition.
