The Kangari Hills Forest Reserve ( German Kangari Hills Forest Reserve ) is a forest reserve without hunting in West Africa Sierra Leone. The reserve is located 200 to 600 meters above sea level and has been proclaimed as one of the first protected areas in the country in 1924. It has an area of ​​8573 hectares and is located in the province of Southern.

Vegetation, flora and fauna

The reserve consists of about 65 percent from evergreen tropical moist forests and 20 percent of Savannah. The forest reserve is home to many rare bird and mammal species, including chimpanzees, forest elephants and leopards.
