Kaoklai Kaennorsing

Kaoklai Kaennorsing ( Thai: ก้าว ไกล แก่น นรสิงห์, pronunciation: [ kâ ː wklaj kɛ ː nnɔ ː sǐŋ ]; * September 13, 1983 in Khon Kaen, Thailand, real name: Ahtit Dam Kam, อาทิตย์ ดำ ขำ ) is a Muay Thai boxer and winner of the K -1 World Grand Prix 2004 in Seoul. With about 78 kg, it is one of the lightest fighter who fought ever in the K-1 heavyweight. The name Kaoklai means progress.

Career

He was the first Thai K-1 Grand Prix winner at the K-1 Asia World Grand Prix in Seoul 2004. Though he weighed only 78 kg, he defeated fighters weighing between 90 and 100 kg. With the elimination fights to the World Grand Prix Finals he defeated the 1.96 m wide and 117 kg Alexey Ignashov after three rounds and a supplementary round and thus qualified for the final tournament in Tokyo.

There he met in the quarterfinals of the 130 kg heavy Mighty Mo, he spectacularly ausknockte with the contracted kick. In the quarterfinals, he lost to the Japanese Lokalmathadoren Akio Mori " Musashi " on points.

In March 2005, he again took part in the finals of the World Grand Prix in Seoul, but lost scarce and disputed against the 2.18 m wide and 162 -pound local hero Choi Hong -man.

In September 2005, he met with the elimination fights to the World Grand Prix Finals at the New Zealander Ray Sefo and lost by unanimous decision. Kaoklai cashed in the third round of his first rainfall in the K-1 ring.

In April 2006 he again took part in the K-1 Asia World Grand Prix in Seoul. Already in his first fight in the quarterfinals, he lost to the Japanese Tsuyoshi Nakasako. From this point, he slowly withdrew from the K- 1 Sports and turned back to the Muay Thai.
