Karabalta

Karabalta ( Карабалта Kyrgyz, Russian Кара - Балта ) is a city in Kyrgyz territory Tschüi. With about 38,000 inhabitants it is the second largest city after Tokmok the area. Karabalta located in the Kyrgyz mountains near the border with Kazakhstan and about 60 kilometers from the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.

In the city there are numerous companies in the mining industry and a base of the Russian military. Also, the football club Chimik Karabalta, a Kyrgyz first division, has its headquarters in the city.
