Karakuri Dôji Ultimo

Ultimo (Japanese机巧 童子ULTIMO, Karakuri Doji Ultimo ) is a manga series by Stan Lee and Hiroyuki Takei. The concept of Stan Lee, the further development of the story and the drawings comes Hiroyuki Takei took over. Content

In Japan of the 12th century Dr. Dunstan creates two "Karakuri Doji " mechanical dolls or robots that embody the absolute good and absolute evil. The Good, Ultimo, and evil, vice, should awaken after 1000 years back and show in the fight against one another, which force is stronger.

Wake up again as Ultimo and Vice, they fight their battle immediately in Tokyo, but then remain initially both badly bruised back. The young Agari Yamato (东 大 和), rebirth of a bandit from Dunstan's time to meet end after his first fight and is drawn into the conflict of the robot. Soon other Karakuri Doji are emerging that fight as much about the fate of the world and through all their activity threatens great danger. To counteract this, Yamato wants to Ultimos help the good and the evil get to know better, including by taking each of the Karakuri Doji succession.

Publication

In the magazine Jump Square Second ( Jump SQ.II ​​) was released by the publisher Shueisha on April 18, 2008, a pilot chapter of the story. The series started in issue 3/2009 (4 February 2009) of the magazine Jump Square, but then moved to the sister magazine Jump SQ.19, starting with the issue 3/2012 (19 February 2012). The chapter also appeared in so far ten anthologies.

In North America, the manga was published by Viz Media in the local Shonen Jump. A German publication launched in October 2012 in Egmont Manga and anime and so far includes nine volumes.
