Karasjohka
Karasjohka in the Norwegian-Finnish border area
The Karasjohka ( North Sami Karasjohka; norwegian Karasjohka; Finnish Kaarasjoki ) is a river in Finnmark in Northern Norway.
Geography
It rises in the central mountain hills to the south of belonging to Norway Lapland. It flows from the southwest to the northeast through an inaccessible forest and lake area. Later, he meanders through a broad gravel bed. Shortly before the mouth of the Tana River in the municipality Karasjok is the only major settlement on the river. The largest tributaries are Iešjohka from the west and south of Bávttajohka.
