Kärbholz
Kärbholz is a German rock group from Ruppichteroth. The band combines elements from the fields of rock, punk and indie as well as influences from the rock-' n'- roll area. In addition, it uses only German texts into their songs.
History
In 2003, Torben Höffgen, Adrian Kuhn, Stefan Wirth and Christian Steffens formed the band Kärbholz. The band as well as the fans dub music as " full-throttle rock 'n' roll " (excerpt from the song " full throttle rock and roll " "... are 'ne full throttle rock and roll band, also if we do not know the world ... ").
The path to replay songs of their musical influences, left Kärbholz, so that in the spring of 2006, the split CD " home advantage " appeared. Then the quartet got a record deal with the label Magdeburg "Asphalt Records " offered.
In April 2007 the debut album " Game of Life ". The distribution of the first work across regional organizers were aware of the group and it was followed by nationwide appearances.
Lyrically, things like friendship, love, hate, or the like will be discussed.
The end of 2007 Kärbholz went back into the studio and played the second album " Back to Front " a, which records also appeared in asphalt. The album's success was not long in coming and the band could play the first major concerts such as on the " GOND ". In addition, the band in late 2008 decided to bring the split EP " home advantage " on the market again. This appeared as an EP under the name " full-throttle rock ' n' roll."
On 18 December 2008, the band became known on the official website that drummer Christian will leave from private and professional reasons the band. In traditional financial statements concert Kärbholz in Schoenberg Christian played his farewell concert. On 5 January 2009, the new drummer Henning Münch was officially presented on the same page, which, however, gave his first concert in Kärbholz Schramberg already on 3 January.
In September 2009, the band embarked on a CD release tour with gigs all over Germany. On this tour, the new album was officially presented with the name of " body and soul ".
In 2010 Kärbholz played back almost weekly concerts, notably on the " GOND ", the " Honest & sound festival" and the traditional " home game". In addition, the band was from the end of October a small tour in Germany with eight concerts on which the single " You're King " was presented. The album for the single " 100 % " made it for the first time in the charts. 2012 moved Kärbholz to the label ' Betontod label "Better Than Hell and released in 2013 the album Restless, which reached number 16 in the charts. The subsequent Restless tour was almost completely sold out. But as a highlight, the band referred to their appearance at Wacken Open Air
Others
- The band held once each year along with the Kärbholz followings in the Ruppichterother sports week a Fan Weekend with the so-called "home game" on Saturday evening. Every year there is an annual financial statement concert, which traditionally takes place in Ruppichteroth and takes place due to steidendem interest since 2011 in two days. Has twice hosted the band their own festival called Crossed Axes Festival
- Kärbholz are an integral part of many major events such as the GOND and the Ehrlich & sound festival.
- The official fan club of the band is the Kärbholz followings. There are other fan clubs like the Kärbholz - fanbase Bonn.
- Kärbholz is part of the so-called " FEK9 ", which organized the " German rock Monster Tour" through Germany and South Tyrol in the fall of 2008. 2009 and 2010 there was no tour, but in each case a large one-day festival with other bands. FEK9 stands for the bands Frei.Wild, Enkelz, Kärbholz and rock Rotten's 9mm Assi Rock'n'Roll.
