Karel Heijting

Karel Heijting ( born May 1, 1883 in Kutoarjo, Purworejo; † August 1, 1951 in Paris) was a Dutch football player.

Heijting played in 1899 at Swift Den Haag, but joined a year later HVV Den Haag on. He played 17 international matches for the Dutch national team and was a member of the Dutch team that won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games 1908.

1914 emigrated Heijting to France and joined the French Foreign Legion. In World War I he was wounded and was taken prisoner. After his release, he returned to France, where he died in Paris in 1951.
