Karel Kolský

Karel Kolský ( born September 21, 1914 in Kročehlavy, Austria - Hungary, † 17 February 1984) was a Czechoslovakian football player and football coach.

Playing career

Karel Kolský began playing football at SK Kročehlavy. From 1935 to 1937 the defender played for SK Kladno, 1937-1948 Sparta Prague. From 1948 to 1951 he was in the team of Sparta Úpice, in the last season he was playing coach.

With Sparta Kolský was 38/39, 1946 and 1948 champion.

Between 1937 and 1948 came Kolský due to the war only 15 internationals.

Coaching career

In 1951 Kolský the army club ATK Prague ( 1956 Dukla Prague) with which it was 1953, 1956 and 1958 Czechoslovak champion. In 1960 he went to Sparta Prague in 1963 to Poland Wisła Kraków. From 1965 to 1967 trained Kolský Zbrojovka Brno, 1967-1969 LIAZ Jablonec. In the season 1969/70 he was sitting at Škoda Pilsen on the bench. In 1970 he again took over as coach at Sparta Prague, but was only two years to SONP Kladno. From 1976 to 1978 he was responsible for the team of RH Cheb.

Kolský led a total of two times the Czechoslovak national team. First, in 1956, together with Antonín Rýgr, in 1958. Than solely responsible at the World Championship in Sweden After the World Cup he was for a short time, together with Rudolf Vytlacil Czechoslovak national team coach.
