Karen Mok

Karen Mok Karen Joy Morris born, Chinese莫文蔚, Pinyin Mò Wenwei ( born June 2, 1970 in Hong Kong) is a Chinese singer, songwriter and actress. She plays Guzheng, oboe and piano.

Life and career

Karen Mok went to Hong Kong and Italy to school and then studied in London Italian Literature. After graduating, she returned to Hong Kong, where they 1993 their film and singing career began and has published numerous Chinese-language recordings. With increasing success, she turned in Hollywood movies, but there under her birth name Karen Joy Morris. At the Olympic Games in 2008, she performed at the opening and closing ceremonies. In 2013, Mok released her first English album " Somewhere I Belong " on which she reinterpreted jazz standards, among others, Cole Porter and George Gershwin.
