Karim Guédé

Karim Abdul- Jabbar Guédé (born 7 January 1985 in Hamburg, Germany ) is a Slovak football player, who also owns the Togolese nationality. Since January 2012, he is under contract at SC Freiburg. His preferred position is defensive midfielder but he can also play in central defense. When SC Freiburg he is mostly used even in the storm.
Career
Association
Guédé, whose mother is from Togo and his father is of French nationality, grew up in Hamburg. He played for nearly seven years for his youth club, the SC Hamm 02 He then moved to the youth of the FC St. Pauli and in August 2002 for SC Concordia. When the SC Concordia defensive specialist in 2003 was the jump in the league team. After consistently good performance of the Hamburger SV undertook in February 2005, the Togolese for the Regional team. In January 2010 Guédé moved to local rivals ŠK Slovan Bratislava, where he immediately became a regular player. He also won the double 2010/11, after he had won the Slovakian Cup with Slovan in the year before.
During the winter break 2011/12 SC Freiburg Guédé committed. The transfer fee should have been about 300,000 euros. On March 24, 2012 ( 27th Round ), he scored the opening goal in a 2-0 win at home to 1.FC Kaiserslautern his first Bundesliga goal.
National
2006 Guédé was surprisingly nominated in the banns of Togo for the World Cup in Germany, although the son of Togolese immigrants had completed just 14 missions for the reserve of HSV in the past season. The dream of the World Cup finals did not come true but then. Guédé withdrew shortly before the World Cup a back injury, but could play in their own words. Coach Otto Pfister nevertheless stressed him out of the squad and the nominated under contract with Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia Franck Atsou after.
Guédé received the Slovak citizenship in July 2011. This was possible because he had his residence in Slovakia five years .. On 10 August 2011, he made his debut for Slovakia in a friendly against Austria.
Private
Outside the football field Karim is known for his dancing skills. With the beat boxers Alberto and macaws he had many appearances. His individual style helped him to second place in the NEWSTYLE Dance Championships in Hamburg.
