Karine Sergerie

Karine Sergerie ( born February 2, 1985 in Montreal ) is a Canadian Taekwondo. It starts in the weight category up to 67 kilograms.

Sergerie came with five years on the Karate Taekwondo. They will start for the club Kim's Taekwondo R. S. and is coached by her father. From the moment of the first 2003 World Cup in Garmisch -Partenkirchen they reached in the class up to 63 kg the finals and won the silver medal. The following year, she reached at the Pan Championships in Santo Domingo the semi-finals and won bronze. Her first international title to Sergerie won in the class up to 63 kg at the Pan Cup 2006 in Buenos Aires and the 2007 World Championships in Beijing. She qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In the category up to 67 kilograms, she moved with three wins the finals and won the silver medal.

Another successful event was the year 2011. Initially Sergerie won bronze at the World Championships in Gyeongju another world championship medal with a final victory at the U.S. Olympic qualifying tournament in Santiago de Querétaro, finally, she qualified for her second Olympic Games 2012 in London.
