Karl Del'Haye

Karl DEL'HAYE ( born August 18, 1955 in Aachen ), usually called " Calle " or " Kalle ", is a former German football player.

Career

Clubs

Karl DEL'HAYE went through from the seventh to the eighteenth year all youth sections of his home club Alemannia Aachen and received a license in 1973 player contract for the Regional League West. He was a member of a national team of the National Association Middle Rhine, the 1-0 against the national team of the country Westfalen won the Country Cup of Amateurs 1974. After this season, signed him to the Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, for he came to four inserts in his first Bundesliga season. He made his debut on 10 September 1974 ( 3rd Round ). He often sat on the bench, so that he became a synonym for a player, the Bayern bought it from a rival club to weaken without needing him. If one calculates the inserts per season during the term of the contract, however DEL'HAYE played at Bayern even slightly more often than in Mönchengladbach ( 14.8 to 14.5 inserts per season). In his five years at Bayern Munich Bundesliga, he scored seven goals in 74 missions in Mönchengladbach he had come in six years to 87 inserts and 14 goals. His move to Fortuna Dusseldorf in 1985 brought him no luck: in two Bundesliga years he remained for a total of 23 events with no hits. His last Bundesliga game he played on 17 June 1987 ( 34th Round ) in a 2-2 draw in Bochum, as he was substituted in the 81st minute for Rudolf Wojtowicz.

1987/88 he left his active footballing career at Lobbericher SC 02 (now SC Union Nettetal ) finish.

National

DEL'HAYE played 11 times in the DFB youth team, for the first time on September 14, 1973 in Herford in a 1-0 win against Finland and for the last time on April 3, 1974 in Pitesti in the 0-2 defeat against Romania. From 14 to 19 November, he participated with the youth national team in the tournament at the Prince Albert Cup, which won him the final against the selection of Belgium 4-1 in a penalty shootout. In the game before, in a 5-1 victory over the selection of Ireland on 17 November 1973 he scored his first two goals in the national jersey.

On November 14, 1978 DEL'HAYE was first appointed to the B- team; in Karlsruhe Hungary was defeated 3-0. His first goal for the " B- selection " he posted on May 14, 1980 in Kassel, when Poland was defeated 2-1. He had his last mission on 21 May 1981 in Bremen, as the Irish national team was also defeated 3-0 and he contributed one goal.

Then took place on April 2, 1980, the first appointment to the senior team; in the 1-0 victory against Austria, he came on in the 71st minute for Allofs. His second and last game took place during the European Championships in Italy in 1980, when he came off the bench in the final group game against Greece (0-0 ) in the 66th minute for Karl -Heinz Rummenigge and at the end of the tournament won the title of European Champion. 1983 DEL'HAYE was called three times in the Olympic selection team.

A special trailer DEL'HAYE appeared in Marcus Wiebusch, the current lead singer of the band Kettcar. This had the footballer in 1993 on his solo album " Hippiekacke " a song with the title " Does anyone remember Kalle DEL'HAYE " dedicated. This song was on ... But Alive times in the song " Dismissed ( before winter break ) " republished. Before the song Wiebusch explained on the CD that he was a big fan of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Kalle DEL'HAYE had the heroes of his youth. Nine years later, the then dipped again in a Wiebusch - song, this time with Kettcar. In "The main thing faith," he sang on " Kalle DEL'HAYE as the best left-winger ".
