Karl Dykhuis

Karl Dykhuis ( born July 8, 1972 in Sept- Îles, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League for the Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens. He was active for the Adler Mannheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

The 1.89 m tall defender started his career with various teams in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL before he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 as 16th in the first round by the Blackhawks ( drafted ) was.

His first NHL inserts for Chicago graduated from the links Sagittarius in the 1991/92 season, however, he was mostly at the Indianapolis Ice an IHL farm team the Blackhawks, are used. Regulars was Dykhuis until his involvement with the Philadelphia Flyers, which he joined during the 1994/ 95 and for which he stood until 1997 on the ice. His career ended Dykhuis at the Adler Mannheim in the DEL Season 2005/06. For 2006/ 07 the Canadians was engaged by the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League, but was injured before the start of the season and was replaced.
