Karl Freller

Karl Freller ( born March 2, 1956 in Schwabach ) is a German politician ( CSU).

Life

Freller attended business school and the Adam Kraft school. In 1982 he was elected by the last available place, from the Bavarian State Parliament and was in the history of the Parliament of the youngest ever members of parliament. Previously Freller was a religion teacher in the church service at various types of schools in Nuremberg and Schwabach, most recently at the State Secondary School Schwabach, works. From 1975 to 1977 he was editor of the daily paper Schwabacher. From 1986 to 1994 he was a youth policy spokesman and 1994-1998 educational policy spokesman for the CSU.

From October 1998 to October 2007 Karl Freller was State Secretary in the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture. His responsibility included not only the education sport, youth, civic education (including memorials ) and reaching out to the churches. Freller represented the Free State of Bavaria in the German Sports Minister and the German Conference of Youth Ministers. He was from 2000-2007 Chairman of the Foundation for Education Pact of Bavaria.

Since 17 October 2007, Karl Freller Deputy Chairman, since 2013 also treasurer of the CSU parliamentary group in the Bavarian Parliament. He is a member of the Committee on the state budget and financial issues. He represents the voice circuit Nürnberg-Süd ( Middle Franconia ) in the Diet.

In addition, since December 2007 it Freller Director of the Foundation Bavarian memorials and therefore carries responsibility for the Dachau concentration camp memorial sites and Flossenbiirg. In 2014 he was awarded the Rabbi Spiro price. By 2009, he was Vice President of the Bavarian Red Cross in volunteering.

Freller leads the CSU district Schwabach Association since 1991 and is Vice Chairman of the District CSU Regional Chapter Nuremberg / Fürth / Schwabach.

He is married and has three children.
