Karmei Tzur

Karmei Tzur (Hebrew: כרמי צור ) is an Israeli settlement in the West Bank with 725 inhabitants ( 2010). It is located east of the Israeli Separation Barrier, about eight kilometers from the Green Line, north of Hebron.

The settlement was founded in 1984 by yeshiva students, settlers from Allon Schewut and Gush Etzion settlement bloc belongs to. Karmei Tzur is located between the Palestinian villages of Bait Ummar and Halhul. For the construction of the settlement partially Land of residents of Bait Ummar and Halhul was expropriated. In January 2001, the settlers of Karmei Tzur founded 400 meters from the settlement illegal even under Israeli law outpost Tzur Shalem.
