Karsten Troyke

Karsten Troyke ( born August 14, 1960 in East Berlin as Karsten Bertolt Sell Horn ) is a German chanson singer, actor and spokesman, who especially with Yiddish songs made ​​an international reputation. He is considered one of the most important artists of this genre in Europe. He is a son of Werner Sell Horn, grandson Iseult Kilian and Uncle Tino Mewes.

Life

Since 1982, on the stage, however, he had first learned the gardener career and later worked with mentally handicapped children. On the side he took singing lessons with Leonore Gendries as well as instruction in drama and elocution. In 1990 he gave up this job and devoted himself entirely to the songs programs and the theater (including vagrants Stage Berlin, Hackesches Court Theatre, Teatr creature).
